Mary Frye will serve as the Referee Coordinator responsible for all the organizational tasks involving referees at this tournament.
If you experience travel delays or a change of travel itinerary, please contact either Kate Drummey (firstname.lastname@example.org or 814-248-9433) or Christy Simmons (email@example.com or 719-373-9587) so they can adjust the hotel accommodations, if necessary. Also let Mary Frye know, either by email or text message (firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-306-2978), so she can inform the assigners.
There will be a Referee Meeting on Friday, April 17th, 7:45 AM, in meeting room 201A-B at the convention center.
Referee report times for the following day will be posted by 2 PM the day prior in the Referee area, and will also be posted at: http://www.usfencing.org/refereereporttime
There will be a number of different assigners throughout the event. There will be a notice posted in the referee area with the assigners for each day, their event(s), and their cell phone number. Please make a note of your assigner(s) and their phone numbers each day.
Some other points before the tournament gets started:
- Gloves are being inspected by the technicians and they must be in good condition.
- French grip epees are being inspected and marked; please remember to check them.
- Call your assigner if you need to have a fencer announced, a technician, medical help, etc.
- If you haven’t eaten lunch by 2 PM, please let your assigner know.
- If you need to leave the venue, please let your assigner know.
- Checks will be available at the end of your final day. They can be picked up at the Tournament Registration Desk.
The hotel is the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, 509 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee WI 53203 (414-271-1039).
The tournament venue is the Wisconsin Center, Halls A-D, 400 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee WI 53202.
Breakfast will be served daily from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. in the MacArthur Banquet Room, on the 4th floor of the Hilton. Lunches will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each competition day in meeting room 201A-B.
There will be an Official’s Welcome Reception in the Hilton Honors Lounge on Friday, April 17th from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. There will be complimentary beer and wine.

If you have not yet received your 2014-2015 credential, please see Kate Drummey at the event.
NAC payment procedures will be used. Honorarium and per diem payments is based on the hire sheets as of March 31st. If you are incorrectly overpaid, your check will be mailed to you after the NAC. If you are incorrectly underpaid, you will receive your check at the NAC and the difference will mailed via separate check after the NAC. Checks will be distributed by Kate Drummey on Monday after lunch or when you have been released. Any check not picked up will be mailed after the NAC.
Officials’ who booked their own rooms will be reimbursed at half of the negotiated $105 rate for the officials’ host hotel. Questions should be directed to Kate Drummey.
For out of pocket expenses, please use the Domestic Expense Form. Expense forms are due no later than close of business May 11, 2015.
A Note from the Armory
Weapons check will be open on Thursday, April 16th from 3:00pm – 8:00pm. However, if there are either long lines or no lines, the doors may close earlier than 8pm at the discretion of the head armorer. Weapons check will open at 7:00am during each day of competition. Gloves will be checked in the Armory during the NAC. Gloves with holes, rips, tape, or loose seams will not be approved. Any questions regarding approval of masks with designs painted on will be referred to the FOC.
